Urban Farms Co. is hiring Cluster Heads to lead end-to-end production and backend operations across critical agri-locations. The role is ideal for seasoned professionals with strong leadership experience in farmer engagement, contract farming, and organic/regenerative agriculture.

Team Size: 15–20 (2–3 Direct Reports)

Key Role:
Lead end-to-end production and backend operations at the cluster level, including partner farmer engagement and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Head cluster-level production, planning, logistics, and delivery.
• Align with sales forecasts to ensure continuous SKU supply.
• Lead contract farming – farmer selection, training & compliance.
• Monitor organic practices and ensure zero chemical usage.
• Oversee sorting, grading, and storage at RACs.
• Ensure produce quality and timely movement to collection/distribution centres.
• Plan input production and align with regenerative agriculture protocols.
• Collaborate with technical teams for practice execution and feedback.
• Budgeting and cost optimization.
• Identify and lead regional expansion opportunities.

Candidate Profile

Requirements:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Agriculture with 8–10 years in field-level farmer engagement and regional agri/vegetable/contract farming operations.
• Organic/Natural farming experience is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication in English, Hindi & local language.
• Strong people leadership and team management experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.

About Urban Farms Co.

Urban Farms Co. (UFCo) is growing to be the largest producer and supplier of regenerative organic vegetables in NCR and rapidly expanding to other cities namely, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Post the success of Araku Coffee, the team with 20+ years of experience in regenerative organic agriculture, focused on developing a first of its kind regenerative organic ecosystem for farmers. This model of UFCo was awarded as a visionary food system by Rockefeller foundation, New York in 2020. UFCo is creating multiple Regenerative Agriculture Clusters (RACs) across the country enabling farmers to move to this new form of agriculture that is a win-win for the environment, farmer and consumers. The model is also carbon positive and uses local organic biomass to create high quality farm inputs.

UFCo uses a Hub and spoke model to grow organic vegetables. The RACs act like a Hub while we engage network farmers in around the vicinity of the Hub to produce organic vegetables via a contract farming route. All the input materials plus scientific knowledge is provided by UFCo and the farmers follow a strict SOP to ensure quality produce. UFCo provides 100% buy back at a premium price to the farmers (based on quality).

Each RAC has the capacity to produce ~ 3500 tonnes of organic compost annually and to cater to 200 acres of network farmers.

UFCo has already set up RACs in Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai & auxiliary clusters in multiple locations around the RACs to build a climate resistant supply chain. It has set up an extensive distribution network comprising of multiple collection center / distribution centres and logistics for last mile distribution.

UFCO has also ventured in the non-perishables space, working on building a large scale network to provide residue free, net zero carbon produce to the end consumers.
